Guest Speaker Gil: In Today’s Sophisticated Market, If You’re Not a Brand You’re a Commodity.

Branding isn’t just about design anymore. Branding is the story you tell your audience that connects them to you on a deep emotional level. It’s the thing that makes your business
unique and stand out in their minds.

Gil’s background as a creative in TV and advertising for over 15 years animating over 100 episodes of the  television show Southpark, helping brand-powerhouses like Coca Cola, Ben & Jerry’s and Vitamin Water communicate their messages around the world. He has worked in many different capacities throughout his career; as a designer, animator, art director, creative director and producer.Gil says he was lucky enough cut his teeth on some of the strongest, most coherent brands out there before launching his own business – a media production agency called Nice Studios. He designed and built one of the first video editing apps for iPhone, wrote and produced a film that premiered at Comic Con, and has worked as both a coach and a mentor to up-and-coming entrepreneurs. Gil founded Brand School because I see an unfilled need in the market. Namely an affordable, effective program to help small businesses and entrepreneurs build brands. Branding is complicated. I want to make it simple, accessible and I want to see creatives and founders thrive in the new economy.
